Welcome to the TopCut London Blog

What you can expect from this blog: TCG strategy, set reviews, platform updates, and the occasional tournament report from the UK scene.

Welcome to the TopCut London blog. This is the first post — short, simple, and mostly about setting expectations for what's coming.

What this blog is for

TopCut London exists to make life easier for UK Pokémon TCG players who take the game seriously. The platform handles the day-to-day mechanics: tracking your collection, logging tournaments round by round, sharing wishlists with the community. The blog is where the bigger picture lives.

You can expect a few rough categories of post:

  • Strategy. Deck-building thinking, sideboard logic, mulligan decisions, format reads. Not "tier list" content — more "here's how I'm thinking about this matchup".
  • Set reviews. When a new set drops, what's worth chasing for play and what's worth chasing for the binder. Two different questions, often two different answers.
  • Tournament reports. When myself or someone in the community puts up a result worth writing about, you'll find the round-by-round here. Decisions, mistakes, lessons.
  • Platform updates. New features, breaking changes, things we've fixed. This category will start frequent and slow down as the platform stabilises.

What it isn't

It isn't a news aggregator. There are plenty of accounts already doing that job well, and chasing breaking news with a blog cadence is a losing battle. If you want event results the moment they drop, X and Discord will always beat us to it. We'll cover the events that are worth a longer read once the dust has settled.

On cadence

No strict schedule. A post when there's something worth saying, not when there's a slot to fill. If a week goes by without one, that's by design — the bar is "would I want to read this" rather than "is it Monday".

Thanks for being here early. If there's a topic you'd like to see covered, the feedback form goes straight to me.
